A Canadian, Mexican, Italian, Russian . . . but not a French, Irish, Turkish, Polish.  We say "a Pole."  Or a Swede or a Dane.  We say "a Danish" but that doesn't mean a person.

They were only planted a couple years ago, when this side of the riverbank was refurbished.  (The other side belongs to a different town.) "They always ruin it," I would say.  But recently I have seen some good adaptations (and still some not-so-good.)  The film can never be exactly the same as the book. But not in a tacky way.  It is known for its landscaping.  Many of the trees and plants are labeled, so you know what you're looking at, which is a very helpful feature.  Everything in nature should be labeled.
